Karobaar — Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Karobaar is an inventory and billing app for shops, provided by TuskerWorks Innovations Private Limited ("Karobaar", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of the Karobaar web app and the Karobaar Android app (com.karobaar.karobaar). By creating an account or using Karobaar, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Karobaar does

Karobaar helps you record items and stock, bill customers, track credit (udhaar) and payments, record expenses, and manage repair jobs. It is a record-keeping and billing tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified accountant. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for the bills and GST invoices you issue, and for your own tax filings and legal compliance.

2. Your account

3. Your data is yours

The business data you enter belongs to you. We store and process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export it at any time (Home → ☁ Backup) and delete it from within the app. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store any personal data of your customers or suppliers (for example, their phone number) that you choose to record.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Karobaar to break the law, to store or send unlawful content, to infringe anyone's rights, or to issue false or misleading invoices. You agree not to resell, copy, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt or overload the service or its infrastructure, and not to use it to build a competing product.

5. Plans, billing and renewals

6. Free trials and promotional offers

We may offer free trials or promotional plans (for example, a Business plan free for an introductory period for early "founding" shops, in exchange for feedback and a testimonial). Such offers are limited, may be varied or withdrawn for future shops, and their specific terms are stated when the offer is made. If you give a testimonial, we will only publish it with your permission.

7. Payments between you and your customers

The UPI "pay" links you send to your own customers are a direct transfer from the customer to your shop's UPI ID. We are not a party to that payment, we do not process it, and we hold no funds. Any dispute about a customer's payment is between you and your customer.

8. Availability and backups

We work to keep Karobaar available and reliable, and it caches your data on your device so it keeps working offline. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may occasionally need to perform maintenance. Keep your own backups (Home → ☁ Backup) of anything important; the Backup and Restore feature is provided for exactly this.

9. "As is" — no warranty

Karobaar is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app is free of errors or that it will meet every requirement of your business.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karobaar and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost sales, or loss or corruption of data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (and where you are on the free plan, to ₹1,000). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Karobaar and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service unlawfully. Deletion of your account and data works as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will update this page and the date above, and where appropriate notify you in the app. Continuing to use Karobaar after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any right you have under applicable consumer law.
